But hooray! I'm off on my first real vacation in a year and a half. And it couldn't be a better day: 12/13/14. The last sequential date in this century. For the next 10-11 days, my broski and I are off on an epic and unplanned adventure in the heart of Peru.
If all goes according to plan, we'll drag our sorry asses up the Andes, take stereotypical pictures at one of the Seven New Wonders of the World (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/New7Wonders_of_the_World), battle piranhas and the Dreaded Candiru (http://facstaff.cbu.edu/~seisen/TheDreadedCandiru.htm), sandboard down the desert dunes, develop an overnight affinity for Peruvian food preparation, and maybe, just maybe, stumble across the elusive Pishtaco.
Our standards may be low, but our expectations are high.
Anyways, it should be an amazing trip! Internet is allegedly spotty so it may be difficult to get ahold of us, but we hope to periodically update our adventures, if only to keep Mom from calling in Liam Neeson. (We love you Mom)
Keeping a low threshold, one kidnapped tourist at a time.
